Special hard pad for BOSCH GTR-550 giraffe sander
A pad specially designed for the standard soft plate GTR-550. It is not just stuck on the plate, but the plate is inserted into it. In order to remove or install this pad, you will have to remove the plate.
What it does:
- It is very hard and trims better than festool
- Turns a soft plate into a hard one
- Due to its shape, it aligns the standard plate
- Improves vacuum
- It has a size of 222mm - this is 7 mm larger than the standard 215mm plate - so it really creates a great plane
Checked, the large hole inside not only improves vacuum, but also removes dust better. Plus, now it makes almost no difference how you place the abrasive.
- Compared to the bosch medium plate - the pad has a plane without rounded edges, so it cuts better, is always perfectly flat, which cannot be said about bosch medium plates
- Compared to the C8 plate - the pad is always flat and even harder than this plate, and it costs less
- Compared to the festool plate - the pad is cheaper and harder
