We present to your attention a sliding adhesive comb, which greatly simplifies the work of laying tiles on the floor and can be used when mounting tiles on walls. The notched comb allows you to apply adhesive to the floor, wall, and directly to the tile. The comb can be used with all tile adhesives.

Process of applying adhesive to the floor

With the help of the transformer comb, the process of applying adhesive to the floor has been accelerated several times and the quality of the applied adhesive has been improved (uniform layer thickness along the entire length, no sagging of tiles, no repeated addition of adhesive, tapping, etc.). Also, the cleanliness of the work is another important factor. With the comb, the application process is much tidier than with conventional notched trowels. The width of the applied layer can be changed using convenient adjusters from 330mm to 610mm. The comb is made of stainless steel with a thickness of 1 mm, which is characterized by an increased operating resource and resistance to abrasion. It also does not damage the glazed coating of ceramics.

Process of applying adhesive to the tile

Using clamps or screws, we arrange an improvised stand for applying adhesive. Fix the comb with 4 screws into an OSB board or plywood, while extending it to the required length of the tile. Slide your tile under the teeth, pressing it against one edge of the comb. Using the locks on the side walls of the comb, fix the teeth of the transformer over the tile. Next, pour the adhesive onto the tile inside the comb and push the tile through the comb.

Using this method of adhesive application, it is very convenient for two people to work together. One craftsman applies adhesive to the tile, and the second sets the tile into its target position. Mounting using this method is faster.
